Snapdeal ties up with TVS Motors; Omni-channel strategy for Michelin Tyres

Last month, Flipkart boldly announced that it plans to capture 2% of India’s 2 wheeler market, after tying up with TVS and Bajaj. It also mentioned it would be launching a spare parts and automobiles category.
It has now come to light that Snapdeal has also partnered with TVS Motors to sell its scooters on its platform. These orders will be fulfilled by the nearest dealer to the customer. Snapdeal already sells Hero and Piaggio motor cycles on its portal.
  • 9 different TVS two-wheeler models will be on sale
  • Customers will able to select the model, colour & local dealer
“Two-wheelers from TVS Motor Company, one of India’s most popular auto manufacturers, are a great addition to our offerings in the automobiles category. We were the first online marketplace in India to introduce this category and have built a dedicated Motors platform to provide an intuitive and seamless buying experience. We are excited to bring more options online for our customers through this partnership,” stated Tony Navin, senior vice president, partnerships and strategic initiatives, Snapdeal.
Snapdeal launched ‘Snapdeal Motors’ last November, which also sells Mahindra and Mahindra, Datsun and Maruti Suzuki auto-mobile cars.

Exclusive discounted Michelin tyres

Snapdeal has announced that it will sell Michelin tyres on it platform. Michelin will give discounts on its tyres, exclusively on Snapdeal. It will also provide a quality guarantee for the tyres.
  • Customers can book a time and place for the fitting of the tyre
  • Customers can select their local dealer
  • Same day free fitment is available
  • Alignment & balancing services are also available
“We are excited to partner with Michelin to offer the most seamless experience to our customers for tyre purchase and fitment. Our recently launched omni channel platform, Janus, will deliver the convenience of online product discovery and offline installation services at the nearest location. We are confident that this unique first-of-its-kind service for this category, will deliver real value for our customers,” said Badal Malick, vice president, Omni Channel, Snapdeal.
Snapdeal’s large customer base, Pan India reach and strong technological capabilities has encouraged many brands to align with the company. We recently witnessed the likes of Zomato, Redbus and Cleartrip, jump on board to integrate their portals into the Snapdeal app.
