Empower Pragati scheme
d’Pronto runs a unique programme called ’empower Pragati’ which trains underprivileged Youth in India and teaches them the necessary skills to become employable in the Logistics field. Snapdeal will tap into this wide network of staff. The scheme currently reaches out to 600 towns in the country.
“We are confident that this partnership will scale rapidly to reach many additional towns and thereby help in transforming the lives of underprivileged youth in those towns,” remarked Rajiv Sharma, Managing Director and Co-Founder of dPronto.
Under the partnership, d’Pronto will collect parcel orders from Snapdeal’s fulfilment centres and online sellers and aim to dispatch them the very same day. Snapdeal is reportedly achieving a 90% success rate in Same Day Delivery and is looking to crank it up a notch.
“dPronto’s initiative of empowering the less privileged youth by making them employable is highly commendable. We are excited to be partnering with them to further strengthen our last mile delivery capabilities as we remain committed to our promise of catering to every customer in every pin code,” stated Ashish Chitravanshi, Vice President, Operations, Snapdeal.
