Amazon’s Prime Day sale has become an event to mark in the calendars for a lot of online shoppers. The e-commerce giant offers almost everything on its platform at discounts, offers and other deals. However, it doesn’t come with its glitches as it was proven last year when the site did ‘crash’ for a while. Taking a potshot at that ‘mishap’, another e-commerce major, eBay has now announced a sale of its own. Called the Crash Sale, eBay today said that it will start the sale on July 15 – the same day as Amazon Prime Day sale kicks off.
And the company is making no bones about taking digs at Amazon as it mentions that clearly in an official press release issued. The release states, “ If history repeats itself and Amazon crashes that day, eBay's wave of can't-miss deals on some of the season's top items will excite customers around the world.” It also states that if Amazon crashes then it will offer something called a “fresh batch of too-good-to-be-true deals”.
Not just that eBay is also saying that it’s giving offers for a whole month rather than just for 48 hours. The release further states, “Rather than limiting the fun to just two days, eBay's Crash Sale is part of a series of events kicking off on July 1. For three full weeks, shoppers will find great deals on the things they actually want - from top electronics and home items, to the latest fashion, sporting goods, and more.”
For those who are keen on the eBay sale, here’s some more information that the company has revealed. The Crash Sale begins on July 15 and will offer “savings on top brands, including LG, Apple, Samsung, KitchenAid, Garmin, and more over 50% off - with a fresh batch of too-good-to-be-true deals that will drop if Amazon crashes.”
There’s something called “Hot Deals for Hot Days” which kicks off on July 8 and ends on July 22. During these two weeks, eBay will have “new deals launching every day, offering a chance to save big on the hottest tech, smart home devices, home appliances, and more up to 80% off.”
