Get ready to sell more this festive season; more than you’ve ever sold online and that too at low costs! How you ask? Well if you sell on Flipkart you’re in for a treat. The etailer recently announced to its online sellers via email the launch of Multi-product Order cards.
These special cards are supposed to reduce Flipkart sellers’ packaging and logistics expenses. This festive treat includes orders for multiple SKUs all from the same customer (s single customer). This means more than one SKU can be shipped to a customer in one single order. Sellers save on shipping fees and packaging fees because all the purchases from a single customer can be included in one single box.
What should Online Sellers bear in mind when using Multi-product Order cards?
Since more than one product is being shipped, sellers have to pay attention to details. Or else they mix-ups and returns will be rampant. To avoid any inconvenience sellers:
- Should cross check the multi-product order SKUs thoroughly to avoid leaving out any or packing the wrong ones
- Must separately download labels for single product orders and multi-product orders
- Should enter individual product and invoice details at SKU level when generating labels
- Can partially cancel any of the SKUs selected by the customer for multi-product orders; however, this can be done only in case his stock is over
- Must provide packaging dimensions only after packing the multiple products together as a single shipment.
