E-commerce major Snapdeal and fashion retailer Shoppers Shop on Thursday said they have entered into an exclusive strategic partnership to create the Shoppers Stop experience in the digital marketplace through a flagship Shoppers Stop store on Snapdeal.
This partnership will create an omni-channel retail experience for consumers across the country. The Shoppers Stop store on Snapdeal will be curated keeping in mind the finer nuances of the retailer's brand.
Customers ordering from the retailer brand store on Snapdeal will be able to pick up the ordered products or get the same delivered from the nearest retailer store, a joint release said.
As a pilot, this facility will be launched first in North India. This will extend to other regions of the country over the next 12 months, it added. Further, consumers will also be able to exchange or return the products bought on the retailer's brand store on Snapdeal at any of the 74 retailer's stores across 35 cities.
"By bringing the best of online and offline shopping experience to consumers we are confident of delivering great value to consumers across the country while offering them a world-class shopping experience.
"In addition, we will offer our strong presence across over 5,000 cities and towns to further expand Shoppers Stop's reach by adding newer geographies of the country," Snapdeal Co-Founder and chief executive Kunal Bahl said.
"We plan to introduce additional features such as 'Click & Collect' and 'Ship from Store', in the next phase. Overall, this alliance with Snapdeal will give a significant fillip to the growth of our omni-channel business," Shoppers Stop Customer Care Associate and Managing Director Govind Shrikhande said.
