Leading online marketplace eBay India has launched a campaign in partnership with one of India’s most well-known media platforms for entrepreneurs www.yourstory.com. The campaign titled 'SheMeansBusiness' will provide a platform to all the online women entrepreneurs to share their success stories. It will also help act as an e-commerce growth model for other budding women entrepreneurs.
“eBay India has been encouraging and supporting women entrepreneurs for over a decade now. We have over 5000 women sellers listed on ebay.in and through this campaign, we further encourage and support women entrepreneurs of India.

Not only do these six shortlisted women entrepreneurs stand a chance to share their stories on this international stage through www.yourstory.com but also qualify to benefit free listings on www.ebay.in. Invited are the online women entrepreneurs, they can send their stories in the form of a write-up, video or an audio, which will be judged by the members of the jury during the ebay festival season that run from September to December 2015.
Of the one million sellers on the online platforms, women sellers constitute about 20 per cent. eBay India has been organising training sessions with women groups and entrepreneurs to train and equip them with necessary skills for smooth functioning of their online businesses. Over 5,000 women entrepreneurs are currently selling their products across categories such as home furnishing, jewellery, handicrafts, and fashion apparel to a global base of buyers.
