Godrej launched Nature’s Basket in 2005 as a fresh food shop, which has grown to the current 33 bricks and mortar stores. They plan to improve their product range to offer convenient dinner kits for two in the Rs. 300 to Rs. 400 category which could appeal to online buyers, who have little time to cook.

We are consistently innovating, adopting and re-evaluating new platforms in the field of technology that would make life of our customers simpler and their experiences brighter and better.”
The current grocery market is pegged at $500 billion and as much as 10% is expected to move online and to mobile platforms in the near future. This makes the current scenario all the more intriguing. It will be interesting to see who will make the next big move in the industry.
