Giving his opinion on, open market place business model and how it is better than inventory model in India. Huria, said, " That an online marketplace provides a great platform for merchants of to sell their products economically and conveniently. From an export perspective, an online marketplace breaks the geographical barriers for these traders by allowing them to transact with customers across the globe, which they would find difficult to attain otherwise. On eBay India, 15,000 sellers export a variety of products to consumers in 201 countries. Another critical advantage offered by online marketplaces is the opportunity to compete with big players on a level playing field. In the offline world, small merchants often find it difficult to break through the dominance of large retailers."

E Bay has a global customer base of over 152 million shoppers, apart from a huge domestic customer base from over 4,500 cities, towns and villages in India.
