Digital payments platform PhonePe has rolled out Flipkart's Pay Later facility on its platform, enabling PhonePe users to make purchases on credit and clear dues in a single monthly payment.
This feature will allow consumers to purchase small ticket items up to Rs 5,000 through a single click payment. Pre-approved Flipkart users will be able to register for this option on the Flipkart app and later activate it inside the ‘My Money’ section on PhonePe.
"Flipkart Pay Later is a great way for eligible users to transact safely and conveniently on the PhonePe app. We are committed to creating wide-ranging payment options on the platform" said Deep Agrawal, Head of Payments, PhonePe.
Flipkart launched this feature in 2017 and it is currently available on the company-owned fashion e-tailer Myntra, apart from PhonePe.
"After successful adoption of this payment solution on our platform, we believe this is the right time to share synergies between the group companies and bring this customer-focused solution on PhonePe," said Smrithi Ravichandran, Business Head, Fintech & Payments Group, Flipkart.
