Have you been facing trouble with your products on Snapdeal? Does this message keep popping up preventing you from listing products?
Snapdeal Error
Rejected on Snapdeal
Upon interacting with the etailer, sellers were asked to submit brand documents subcategory wise to make sure products go live.
Browntape mentioned that none of their seller listings on Snapdeal were going through. And Snapdeal personnel alerted them that all listings will be disabled if brands are not re-registered at the earliest. Listings will be disabled from Snapdeal’s end by Monday 17th October.

When did the error start occurring?

When speaking with Browntape’s listing team leader, Zeba Shaikh, we realized that sellers were not previously informed of this requirement.
“This error on the Snapdeal seller panel started from 14th October 2016. We came across it when uploading content sheets on the seller panel. We kept seeing a pop-up notification asking to authorize the brand every time after we uploaded the content files,” Zeba specified.

Why are sellers being asked to redo brand registry on Snapdeal?

After raising a query about the same with the marketplace, Snapdeal seller support said they had revised their seller policy with regards to brand authorization.
Zeba mentioned, “The marketplace said that from this week (i.e. last week) onwards every seller is required to register their brand under every category and subcategory as well. Earlier if a seller dealt with bags (subcategories – handbags, wallets, sling bags, messenger bags, etc), he/she has to register the brand just once for the category – Bags & Luggage. Now, after this revision, the seller must register his brand under every subcategory, i.e, handbags, wallets, sling bags, messenger bags, etc.”

What if sellers haven’t registered their brands yet and their products are disabled? How can they be reactivated?

“In case this happens, the seller’s products will be disabled / not available for sale. To reactivate, the seller will have to re-register the brand. Then request to enable the products which takes 24 hours. The brand authorization is said to get done in 48 hours time,” the listing team leader at Browntape said.
