Shopclues launches Sales Booster for bulk order acquisition & minimal cart abandonment

Sales and discounts are synonymous with online retail but with the introduction of new rules, ecommerce discounting has dipped. This, in turn, has impacted sales and has made online sellers skeptical of this year’s festive season’s promise.
Online marketplaces believe just the opposite. Despite the decelerated growth caused by discount limitations, they feel proper preparation for the festive season will take their sales to new heights. Ecommerce platform Shopclues last month introduced merchant loans so online sellers can take advantage of the festive season. This month, the etailer launched ‘Sales Booster’ a specialized feature to boost online sales even during the festival season. Online sellers were alerted via email about the same.

What does Sales Booster do?

Sales Booster from Shopclues is a specialised feature which enables sellers to reach out to customers who add their products to the shopping cart but haven’t purchased them yet. Sellers can connect with the customer and persuade them with attractive prices. The effort could convert into customer loyalty and boost bulk order acquisition.

How can online sellers access this feature?

Step 1 – log in to the Shopclues store manager and click on the ‘promote your store’ tab. Select the ‘reach Shopclues customers’ option from the dropdown menu. The sales booster option will appear to the left of the screen.

Step 2 – Click on ‘go to panel’. The sales booster option displays the number of products customers have shown interest in and potential sales amount a seller could earn on these.

Sellers can select the ‘give discount’ option and a discount details window will open.

Here the seller can set the discount of his choice.
Step 3 – Click on the ‘reach customer option’ after entering the discount amount. The discount information set will be sent to all those customers who have shown interest in the seller’s products.
Email, SMS and Shopclues notifications will be the means through which Shopclues will inform online customers about the discount set.
The etailer requests online sellers to update their stock to facilitate orders from customers attracted by the discounts offered.
Sales progress can be checked from the store manager through the ‘overall report’ option. It shows the additional sales generated from the discounted products.
